Message from the President

As the Chapter President for 2010-2011, it is an honor to welcome you to the IPMA-MCC Home Page and I hope you will visit the website regularly to ascertain the latest information on chapter activities and events.  The Montgomery County Chapter is chartered by the International Public Management Association for Human Resources, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing and promoting the development of human resource professionals in the public sector.  The Montgomery County Chapter (IPMA-MCC) offers a rich and diverse membership base and supports HR professionals in the Maryland suburbs of the metropolitan area of Washington, DC.  We remain committed to providing outstanding services and resources to our members including timely communications, professional development and networking opportunities.

It is a privilege to lead the chapter in 2010-2011 and my team, the Executive Board, is working energetically to continue to expand outreach efforts, increase membership and support a wide range of activities to encourage professional development in the areas of human resources and public administration.  IPMA-MCC is one of the largest and most active chapters in the Eastern Region and our growing membership roster offers an opportunity to network with other HR professionals.  Please encourage your colleagues to join the chapter and volunteer to get involved with some of the exciting projects we have planned for the coming year, including the Annual Training & Development Conference, charity drives, program seminars and membership events.
